Newsletter!
Happy New Year! December was a fun-filled month with many exciting projects and celebrations! We enjoyed the traditional Christmas play by kindergarten and our fabulous Christmas parties and treats. As always, Mr. Claus was a big hit with the children! How can we thank each of you for being so thoughtful to my staff and me with cards, cookies, treats and gifts throughout the holiday season?! Everything was absolutely delicious. You are simply the best!

It is almost time for fall registration and many parents are beginning to approach us concerning the meaning of kindergarten readiness and how it is determined. Please drop by the A-Z room to pick up an informational packet on kindergarten readiness if you have any questions about your prekindergarten-aged child's readiness. In addition, we are scheduling classroom visits to our kindergarten during the week of January 26th for those parents who are interested in enrolling in the fantastic kindergarten program we offer right here at Apple Tree!

6:36 PM - 6:45 PM, late fee of $25
6:46 PM - 7:00 PM, additional late fee of $2 per minute
7:01 PM or later, additional late fee of $5 per minute

Tuition Reminder
The January 2009 monthly tuition payment is due by close of business on Wednesday, December 31, 2008. (Don't forget that Apple Tree is closing at 3:00 PM on December 31st.) Apple Tree is closed January 1-2. We will reopen on Monday, January 5th; monthly payments received on this day will be considered late and your account will be charged a $25 late fee. For your convenience, we will accept post-dated checks for January 1, 2009.

Giant's A+ BonusBucks
It's not too late to sign up for Giant's A+ BonusBucks program. Our school ID# is 03924.

The A+ BonusBucks fundraising program is an easy way for our school to earn funds every time you shop. We have used these funds to obtain computer software, a digital camera and various types of classroom and playground equipment in the past.

Parents' Night Out / Parents' Day Out
We will be holding a Parents' Night Out on Friday, December 5th from 6:30 - 11 PM and a Parents' Day Out on Saturday, December 20th from 10 AM - 3 PM. This will be a great opportunity for our busy parents to get any extra Christmas shopping done! The cost for each day/night out will be a flat fee of $30 per child or $25 per child for 2 or more children in a family. If you are interested in participating in this, please pick up a form in the A-Z room.

Pass Key Reminder
Just a reminder that you must use your pass key to obtain access to the building. Thank you for your help in keeping our school safe and secure.

Adopt-A-Soldier
A former Apple Tree student and the son of our Yellow Star teacher, Rosemary Beckett, is currently serving in Iraq. If you would like to send a Christmas card with holiday wishes, it would certainly be greatly appreciated! His contact information is as follows:
